Blackstone in Florida
« on: April 10, 2008, 08:22:37 PM »
I was wondering if anyone has anything, good or bad, about Blackstone LSAT Prep in Florida, specifically Tampa?  Powerscore just canceled their course in Tampa, and I find myself reluctant to sign up for Kaplan. Testmasters nor Blueprint have classes in Tampa.

TYFYT!

I never took any LSAT prep courses, I only did self-study. That being said, all of my friends that I know who applied to law school these past two years did Blackstone prep... I'd say around 10 people, and they all raved about it.

Apparently it's a more personal experience than at Kaplan, and the woman who runs it teaches it (her name is Mimi).

I almost took the class but that kind of environment just doesn't work well for me. But if I did go to one that's where I would have went.

I guess bottom line... that's the only LSAT prep place here in Tampa that I know of that I haven't heard mixed things about.

Fabulous! Thank you!  One of my co-workers raved about it, but the website looked a little ... homemade if you will, so I was a little suspicious.  I've been doing some independent studying, but having a structured class schedule will really help me keep on task, I get distracted easily sometimes.

TestMasters has a class in Tampa that starts tonight.

Uh, that frustrates me so much, because I could have sworn that wasn't there when I looked.

Well I am in Tallahassee right now, so I will have to see if I can still sign up.
