If anyone still deciding is concerned with UMiami's drop in USNWR from 70th to 82nd, the Dean at UM sent out a letter assuring students that a conscious, diligent effort is being made in EVERY ranking category to improve the ranking.  Check out his letter

You'd think most deans try to improve their school's ranking regardless of if it rises, falls, or stays the same.  Unless the school screwed up on something, it's tough to see how they can move up for sure the following year.
