this leads me to believe that UNC simply isn't paying the ransom they want.  having your reputation be 19 spots different from your actual ranking simply shows that one of the two rankings is completely meaningless.

It's good to see that NYU has finally caught up to UVa and Boalt.

Fwiw, rep ratings are far more consistent than USNews overall, with are subjection to fluctuations due to minor changes in methodology.
