It is definitely the only fair thing to do.  Africa has consistently been jerked around by the "developed" world.  Just because we don't understand their culture, so many westerners (in particular, Europeans) have decided they're inferior and worthy of "colonization".  It's simply unacceptable, and relieving them of their debt so they can be on even footing with the rest of the world, so that they can at least have a CHANCE to improve things, is the right thing to do.

Savannah is too smart to let us hijack her thread, apparently.  The way you do that, by the way, is to open the first open (if you started the thread) as if to modify it, and modify the subject.  I did it a couple days ago to make a more detailed subject about the Apprentice.
