Types of law

Which "genre" or type of law do you think is most (and least) popular?  Which are most (and least) competitive to enter into the market for?

In terms of business law, M&A will probably be one of the most competitive while real estate (finance and transactions) is one of the easier areas to get a job in at a firm because it's so prevalent. Despite the current downswing in the RE market, most firms are still doing ok in this area.

Recent layoffs that might indicate otherwise are generally the result of firms over-hiring during the boom with no regard for the circular nature of the real estate market.
