University of Minnesota - Deferred, Accepted
« on: March 24, 2008, 04:49:27 PM »
Anyone out there been accepted (waitlisted or rejected) yet after being deferred for Fall 2008?  My status page doesn't seem to be working, I'm deferred and still haven't heard anything. It's killing me to wait...

I'll join the club. Not sure if I'd go there, though.

I got deferred and then accepted about a month later. 171, 2.X.

I'm in at St. Thomas with a lot of money but I'd give it up to go here.

Nischay - why would you consider not going?

For a variety of reason: Not too sure about the Minnesota location, although something tells me that I may like it more than I'd like New York (considering Fordham). I'd be out of state. I really like their judicial placement stats, but I don't know if the job prospects are what I'd like. If you want to live in the region, it's a great school, but if you're not sure, then there's apprehension. I applied originally just to keep as many options open as possible. Just after waiting so long, you lose that excitement, you know?

Deferred in late December, still waiting to hear back. I'm really hoping to hear back before April 1.

I was deferred and accepted about 4 days later. It was about two weeks ago.

Also deferred in December. Haven't heard a word from them since. A little frustrating because I was accepted there last year with the same numbers, but decided to take the year off.

Last year I got deferred and then accepted like two weeks later. Weird school as far as deferrals/holds are concerned.

I wouldn't be surprised if they are waiting for their first round of deposits and then reevaluating from there. Might be a while still...
