Are scholarships negotiable?

Random question but I was wondering if you were offered scholarship(s) can you negotiate with the admissions office and/or leverage another schools offer?  I dont know how this process works from behind the scene.  If anyone has any tidbits relating to experiences with NY/NJ schools it would be helpful.  Thanks

DePaul negotiated with me (kicked in another $5k), dunno about NY/NJ schools, but it's likely they will negotiate, especially if you have other offers.

I know that some schools are willing to.  As a matter of fact I had someone in the admissions office of a California law school suggest I do it, because they will often try if you are willing to ask.

However, I did try to do this with one school and they politely said no. 

The way I see it, it doesn't hurt to ask.

I've done it with two T14s and both were successful.

Yes, scholarships are negotiable.  But don't act like they are.  I.e., be tactful.
