2008 Interest Rate Changes

Anyone want to venture a guess (or know for sure) as to what the interest rate for Stafford loans will be for 08-09?  I'd assume substantially lower than they are this year.

Stafford loans disbursed on or after 7/1/2006 are fixed at 6.8%* until June of 2012.




*Subsidized Stafford loans for undergrads are on schedule to reduce to 6.0% in 2008/2009, and Stafford loans disbursed prior to 7/1/2006 change based upon the 91-day T-Bill rate: the most recent bracket (7/1/1998-6/30/2006) would work out to be 3.4% at the repayment rate using this month's 91-day T-Bill rate.
