I don't think Jin dies... I think Sun/Hurley are acting like he dies because a), he's stuck on the island and they know they can never go back to the island and see him again, and b) the Oceanic 6 are pretending that they are the only survivors; hence, Jin is "dead". 

I am definitely enjoying this season.  Already more twists and turns than I expected, plus, I cried for the first time during this show -- when Desmond called Penny... and she said she would always wait for him.

I read somewhere that the date on Jin's gravestone is 9/22/04, the day the plane crashed. We know that he lived longer than that, so what do you think the misdated gravestone means?

I've given up trying to guess what happened to people on that show. They were total bastards with the flashbacks and flashforwards on that episode. Let's see, five of the Oceanic Six are: Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hurley, and Sun for sure at this point, and maybe Desmond?

Desmond wasn't on Oceanic. I don't think he can be one of the six.

what a confusing episode

i too didn't catch the flashbackflashforward mix and thought that jin was in hiding somehow (to escape the wrath of his stepfather?)

still pretty sure that jin isn't actually dead, but that he just stayed behind on the island for some reason (the date on his gravestone says the date of the crash).  sun visits his "grave" to keep up appearances and to be sad over him.

tbh i didn't much care for the running around and getting the panda thing.  it made me miss season 1 where every episode was filled with new mysteries, rather than 50 minutes of obtaining plush toys.  i also thought maybe the panda would have a bomb in it (seriously).

i liked the week before last, though, where ben was all "U R MINE!!! take all the time you need."  the crazy dominance made me find ben sexy for like 40 seconds.
