I doubt W&M places too many people in TX. Unlike many other states, Texas has that "good ole boy" attitude. They like southerners. They LOVE Texans. I think Virginia is considered  to be South by the Mason-Dixon Line's definition, but to Texans, it's still North.

The $25-30k you would save at Tulane would make it very close (I would lean Tulane, but I ALWAYS lean Tulane)

It would really come down to which area I wanted to spend three years in.

I've heard that Tulane places pretty well in Houston.  I'd imagine it'd place alright in the rest of the state if you have some connection there.  I've never heard that W & M places well in Texas.
