Florida State's website
« on: March 05, 2008, 01:06:13 PM »
I was just trying to dig up some financial aid info and stumbled upon this http://www.law.fsu.edu/prospective_students/financial/contact.html

Is it just me or is it weird that FSU hasn't updated their financial aid website in two years? Slow day at work for me.

Everything related to financial aid is on the website for the Office of Financial Aid, not the law school. It looks like some of the links are broken and old but slowly getting fixed. I don't think they care too much since its not really their department. You have to go to ofa.fsu.edu and look up everything related to grad school. Law does not have its own financial aid office, FSU handles everything for them as well as the med school and undergrad. However, College of Law-specific scholarships are handled by the Student Affairs office in the College of Law, and then disbursed through the regular FA office. Hope that helps!

Dude, where the heck did you even find the FAQ link? Its impossible to find it from the admissions page (because its obviously an old link thats been removed), and all of the relevant information is at the facts at a glance site.

I don't really see how its' a "horrible website" when you only did a google search on the fsu website and obviously didn't even click on the links that were provided on FSU's admission website.

Of course you'll find some out-dated information when you do a google search on a website.  ::)

Maybe the FSU adcomm is trolling here because they finally updated the financial aid info. Much more helpful now! (even if it took 2 years)

I will be moving to Tallahassee for a year (not for LS) and have found that it must be a requirement that if your based in Tallahassee then your website MUST be terrible. After a little more research it looks as if the whole state is subject to this rule.
