Scholarship stipend amounts?
« on: February 29, 2008, 11:36:34 AM »
Just curious about what people are being offered by different schools for stipend amounts.  It seems that some schools offer much more generous stipends than others.

I've seen amounts between 3,000 and 10,000. Not that I've received such an offer myself, I'm still waiting for my full-tuition scholarships, but those are the top offers made by schools I'm applying to.

The biggest I've received so far is $12,000 a year from Pepperdine.

That's not a stipend, that's down payment on a sweet car.

$5,000 per year from Mercer.  Four awarded each year to incoming students, requires a separate application.  No GPA requirement.

Also $6,000 for each summer spent in public service work from Mercer.  Several awarded each year to incoming students.  No GPA requirement.  No separate application.

$12,000 at Malibu only covers 2/3 of on campus married housing.
