Just started a club on facebook.com for those of you that are over the age of 27 and are currently pursuing a JD.  Its an invite only (basically your profile will be checked) but pretty much anyone is invited.

I am not that old but I had no clue what facebook was before coming to law school..lol.

Just search for the group on facebook and request to be added.  I will add you. The group is still small but I am hoping it will build momentum.

Also looking to add information that pertains to us non-trad's like firms that like us, good reads, tactics to survive the beenie-boppers...etc.

I am aware of that site but its not as fun as facebook!  Plus, we are trying to do this in a very informal setting where we can b*itch and moan about our woes as well as meet people from all over.

I'm still trying to recapture my youth by being stuck on myspace instead of facebook...

But I'm tagging this for future reference b/c I plan on opening up a facebook account once I decide where I'll be next fall.

This thread makes me sad... didn't think I was old until now. I have a Facebook and a Myspace and I think both are fun, but apparently I need to cancel both accounts immediately and velcro on some orthopedic shoes...

Leave the shoes in the closet for now.  You're not old.  You're just older than most of the people you'll be going to school with.  I'm pretty excited about spending my 30th b-day studying for/taking finals.

I'll be spending my 32nd birthday taking 1L spring finals, I guess.  It beats my 27th birthday, when I was sitting in a port-a-potty truck driving around an army base somewhere in Iraq, I suppose... hahaha.
