what about including an additional LOR with the LOCI?

I'm particularly interested in a school that already has received two LORs through LSDAS. Would another LOR possibly be helpful? If so, what would be the best method to have this transmitted to the school? Would it look bad to the school if this additional LOR was transmitted along with your LOCI, i.e. they would obviously know that the applicant has seen the LOR.

LOCI is a Letter of Continued Interest. I'm not really sure what the standard format is, though. I always thought that people just sent them in if they got waitlisted,deferred, or in some other way solicited; however, some of what I read on hear makes it sound like people have sent them in before receiving any sort of decision from a school.

I think an additional LOR is a good idea (can't hurt you, and could help), but I would have your recommender send it in directly. The adcomms might not care if it came from you, but then again they might. The last thing you want right now is to give them anything to which they could object.

I just sent in a LOCI as I have been in review for almost 3 months now.  I thought it might be helpful in bringing my application back to the top of the pile...I'm desperate.
