Hi, are you sure that decisions don't go out until May?

I take it that usually people send in their deposits by mid april, it would be unwise for Houston to accept regular decision candidates until May...

I'm in the same boat, in review since early november.

I have been in review for 22 days and I am STILL counting. Oh yeah, I'm a resident too.

I applied to UH in late November, and did not change to "in review" until 1/28/08.  The following week when UH updated their site, 2/4/08, I was changed to "decision mailed."  I received an acceptance the same day they updated my status on their website.  UH requires a seat deposit by 4/1/08.  I hope this answers a few of your questions.

I've been in review for so long that I quit counting the days.  I've even stopped using the status checker 'cause it's so frustrating.  I guess they just decided to take their sweet time.

I FEEL YOUR PAIN, OTALSH! When did you apply?

I'm a native Houstonian, and I applied late October. I have been in review since mid-December. I called admissions a couple of weeks back and they said that EA applicants would hear by the end of February. I called again yesterday and heard that EA applicants might have to wait until the first or send week of March! Arggh!

The admissions rep I spoke with yesterday also said that, if your status is "in review" at the time of the weekly update, you won't be getting a decision that entire week more than likely.

Does anyone have any explanations for the hold-up this cycle??

I've got ASW's and seat deposits due (like the rest of y'all, I'm sure), and UH is the only school I'm waiting on.

I was accepted awhile back. About Feb. 10-20 or so. I am an out-of-stater, so I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

Wow! How early was that "early decision"??  U of H can be so annoying sometimes.  I applied regular decision so I'll probably be hearing from them in a couple of months.

Ok what about if I applied mid January and my status has said "file complete - LSSAS report received" since mid-January!? 2 months later... not even "in review"? Annoying...
