PSA: House gives Bush Finger
« on: February 15, 2008, 08:36:44 PM »
"If our nation is left vulnerable in the coming months, it will not be because we don't have enough domestic spying powers. It will be because your Administration has not done enough to defeat terrorist organizations -- including al Qaeda -- that have gained strength since 9/11. . . ."

"I, for one, do not intend to back down -- not to the terrorists and not to anyone, including a President, who wants Americans to cower in fear."

excerpts from house letter to white house.

Correction.  The Dems in the House showed their backbone.  Many Dems in the Senate are spineless. They passed it through the Senate. (I think there were six defectors.)

I think the number is more like 19 spineless Senate Democrats. May the example of their betters in the "lesser chamber" open their eyes.

Oh, well, I guess the media that I was listening to was wrong, then.

I was happy to see the House Dems unite for a good reason.
