I just checked the BYU status checker and it says "Decision Rendered"  they said they sent the decision today.

Brutal, why don't they just tell me I'm rejected and get it over with.  It's going to be a long walk to the mailbox the next couple of days.

Waitlisted at American, the lowest-ranked school I applied to. I didn't apply till around 1/20 though. Who knows.

I was put on hold at my #1 choice, spoke with the admissions director and was advised that i was in...i previously sent a LOCI, updated resume, and 2 LOR's....still waiting on my official acceptance letter...but presumably I am in...Have you sent a LOCI or LOR's?  It may help.  Good Luck.

KidA, depending on your numbers this might have just been yield protection by American.  They are famous for waitlisting pretty much everyone with numbers significantly above their medians.

My numbers were above their 75% percentiles on both accounts. I have absolutely no interest in going there; I live in DC and sort of applied late just in case I was overcome with emotional appeal to stick around the area. I have heard about their YP policies, so maybe that's it. Who knows.
