^ columbia doesn't conduct phone interviews. they've been known to allow applicants to come in for a physical interview, however.

oh officially rejected at UVa.  Interesting little tid bit in the rejection letter (well interesting for the rest of you. More like plain "salt - in - wound... I dont give a fcuk what you're saying anymore... shut up!" for me):

are you sure about this?  the letter makes it seem like its a wait list because we dont get reviewed again until the end of may
