I'm hoping just one more of us gets in. It's a thrill to see the lightning bolt acceptances, you know?

MHLM, you're stronger than me, man. I don't think I'd have the heart to do another year but there's totally the desire in the back of my mind. Hope you nail the bugger on the next shot.

Good luck to everyone. Seems like there are a lot of 2/8 decisions (and Pyke, you better do some posting yourself when you finally get your answer!).

I wish I could feel good about my chances, but ever since Columbia rejected me (and they waived my fee and considered me equiv to Native American), I've felt cold and dirty inside :(.

It makes the food taste less sweet, the sun feel less warm and the nights feel so long.

:|.

In other news, UVa, Duke, Mich and Cornell still haven't given me the cold shoulder. I hold out hope.

Bummer. Sorry, AnnArborite. Do you have a first choice among your acceptances now?

Leaning toward W&L or Arizona, but hard to say.  I am going to do some scholarship negotiating...

Sorry to hear about UMich.

I withdrew from W&L, so they have $11,000 a year more than they had. :).

I'm presently between UIUC, Toronto and Minnesota in terms of serious options.

Minnesota didn't offer me enough.  I might be convinced if they up the ante.

They were my first love (acceptance) so I keep them in it. I've talked with them about money and said if it stays the same, they're not competitive with the $25,000 offer from UIUC.

I'm leaning towards Illinois for next year, unless I somehow get into one of my T14 schools left.

Curious: Why didn't you apply to Illinois?
