I'm a current UF law student. congrats to all you who've been accepted! I still check these boards around admissions season to offer what I know about the school. It's very easy to get instate if you follow protocol (someone else listed them: drivers license, car registration, declaration of domicile, registered voter, and change all your bills to your new Florida address). I got it after my first year with no trouble. I did hear one of the deans say that the class size may be dropped down to 350- 370 in coming years, but no word on whether that's next year or further down the road. I wouldn't hold my breath for much financial aid other than loans unless your scores are very high or you're a URM. Most of us take loans, which is ok b/c tuition is very cheap. I think I'll be graduating with around 55K in loans. If you have questions, ask away (or PM me)-- I'll be one your ambassadors for the incoming class orientation as well.
For UF, I'd consider high scores to be 165+ and 3.6-3.8 GPA. this is just a guideline based on talking to students who've gotten scholarships. UF also considers financial need as necessary but not sufficient to get a scholarship in most cases (again, all anecdotal).
I was rejected. Kinda surprised, 5.7 index, and I have the second highest LSAT of all those who were rejected so far on LSN.It's more of a shot to the ego than anything else.Congrats to those who got in, and good luck to everyone else.
To give you a glimmer of hope, my friend, a 1L at Florida now, got a full ride with a 162 and 3.8. And she has no soft factors. I have no idea how she pulled it off, but how awesome is that? She found out in April.

(I am not.)I've noticed on LSN that they give out a decent amount of money to Florida residents.
