80k if I live in a med. market env..
100k if I live in an expensive market env.

$70k in any market except NYC and SF so long as the partnership track is commensurate.  Ie, I'm willing to make less to start if I can make partner in 5 years or less.

No. As far as I can tell, Matthies is raking in the cash (not to mention all the free stuff from non-paying tenants) at a great job. I can only assume that he's in law school for the intellectual challenge and interesting opportunities. His situation is basically ideal.

He seems to be in quite the minority on this board...seems all anyone cares about is the money here
