Financial Aid at Harvard
« on: January 22, 2008, 01:50:24 PM »
Hi all,

Does anybody have any experience or know of anybody who has successfully convinced Harvard to increase its financial aid package or offer better loans based on financial aid packages received from other schools?  If so, which schools and what were the packages?

Many thanks!

Doesn't HLS only give need-based aid?

I think Harvard matches fin aid packages from Stanford or Yale, just based on anecdotal evidence. Beyond those schools, however, I think you may be out of luck.

And yes, Harvard only grants need based aid.  :(

How generous is aid though?  If I didn't qualify for aid at my undergrad (which is pretty generous), is there a chance I'll get something at HLS?

. . . . . .
