GW acceptance letters
« on: January 18, 2008, 05:29:17 PM »
anybody else get a GW acceptance package today?  The little personalized note on the offer of admission was very nice, and left me feeling all special.

then I thought, hmmm.. I wonder if everyone gets a little personalized note.

So LSD readers, did you get a note? Go ahead, ruin my special feeling.

I, at least, won't rob you of your special feeling. I was all excited for the "personalized note" I'd heard about. But mine just said "Great personal statement!".

Got mine. Nice note (almost a paragraph) written on the letter. No mention of $...what about you guys?

Congrats to both of you!

Congrats to you all!  (Or to all y'all, if you prefer.)  Hopefully GW will be sending a happy note my way in a few weeks!

no mention of $$ - but in the email I got a couple days before my official letter arrive it said that merit scholarship info would be coming out in "late february, march, and early april."  nice and specific of them, huh?

Hmmm...interesting.  My own e-mail from them says late January and February.  I wonder if that's a revision to all scholarships or if they changed the date as they started to heavily fill the class...

I think everyone who heard this past week it said late Feb, March, or April.  Maybe that's when it switched?  I know there was a big batch of us who got acceptances this week, so we could just be in the next round for scholarship consideration.

Definitely could be.  I'm an early applicant (complete in November) and got my decision on the 28th of December of last year.
