When I saw the title of this thread, I thought the insight was going to be "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all," given the recent rash of "I haven't heard from dream school XYZ/I got dinged/WLed/deferred and will now be bitter and hostile" posts.

this is a rather worthless thread but i will add to it anyway.

if good news comes wouldnt that negate your argument completely? saying that no news is good news? i knew my LSAT studying would pay off for argumentative discussions  ;)

I hope this is true in the process - I've been taking it as a consolation prize every day I don't hear from schools.  At the very least it means you're not an auto-ding.

I hope this is true for Berkeley for me.  I've been complete there since early November, and while I haven't received a deferral email, I haven't received a ding either.
