Question About Student Aid Report (SAR)
« on: January 14, 2008, 04:29:13 PM »
So I filled out the FAFSA yesterday and got my SAR today in my email.  But Im confused.  All the SAR says is a summary of all my answers and it tells me that my EFC is 0.  When/how do I find out the specific aid package for each school I sent my FAFSA results to (i.e. the 2 types of stafford loans, PLUS loans, etc)? Does that come separately from each school?

If your EFC is 0 that means you will be eligible for the max federal aid (Stafford loans), so that's a good thing.  You'll get a separate mailing from each school you sent the info to (and that you've been accepted to) with your specific aid package based on what your SAR says.  That's when you find out if you got any grants from the school, etc. and whatever they put together will probably include federal loans.
