Question about Georgetown
« on: January 14, 2008, 12:47:23 PM »
I was wondering where people who get into Georgetown live. Also, can anyone speak to the sense of community there.

Most students live in DC - either on campus or elsewhere on the red line.  A decent number also live in Arlington, Rockville, Bethesda, and other locations on major Metro lines.

There is a sense of community among both students who live in the campus housing and among each section.  I do not think that is unique to Georgetown, but instead common among schools that follow the traditional 1L section organization.  First year classes range from about 15 people in small legal research and writing sections to 115 in your large section and those are the people you will see most often.

Overall the atmosphere is very congenial and I get the sense most people enjoy the law community here.

Old information obviously, but interesting to see where things lined up.
