Too little too late?

Too little too late?
« on: May 06, 2007, 10:41:54 AM »
I've sent in my seat deposit to a law school but I'm still very interested in two law schools that have waitlisted me. Sadly, I wasn't really on top of things at the time so all I did was send the forms back saying I wanted to remain on the waitlist. I now wish that I would have sent letters of continued interest. I know it should have been done when I was informing them that I wanted to stay waitlisted but is it too late to do so now?
Thanks for your help!

In regards to Miss Celies Blues' response, does "extra materials" mean senior year grades as well? Neither of the schools require them and honestly, they would either not make me look any better or actually make me look worse (my senior year was not stellar - I didn't do terrible, but my good grades were my selling point and this year slightly lowered my GPA). Is it ok to just send a letter of continued interest with nothing else?

I hate to use other people's experiences but I believe, if I remember correctly, that the LSD user Towelie got off the Penn waitlist last cycle after not sending his most recent grades (there may even have been a request by the school) so I wouldn't really worry about it if you think it will hurt your chances.

See an extra recommendation, send a letter of continued interest, an updated resume if there was anything new to add.  Usually ppl do send their senior grades--but I dunno what to tell you if you think they will hurt your chances of getting in off the wl.
