Factor in all the free alcohol we're going score this year.  Kegs in the garden for the win, dude.

EDIT: And I seem to have a talent as finagling freebies from female bartenders, so take this into consideration as well.  And then there's the huge CoL difference, but...  I'll shut up now.  We know you're going to make the right choice :P

Holy *&^%, no f-ing way. 20k a year? Overall cost of attendance max for UVA = 90k. Trust me, they over budget like crazy.

yeah, but penn's award still wins out (Silverman-Rodin scholarship, full tuition and fees first year, half tuition and fees 2nd year; the + fees and the ability to continue to invest the 1st and half of 2nd year's tuition towards my third year is what wins out in the long run).  i have until friday to figure it all out though

Oh. Well, damn. So it's a 1.5 year scholarship? I guess they figure you'll get a job 2L summer, so that makes sense.

We'd love to have you, though. I'd say the money difference is such that you should just go to the school you want to. Of course that's probably Penn, but that's what I'd do.

I didn't quote it, but pretty much what Johnny said.  In terms of actual dollars, they seem about equal.  But then there's the ability to reinvest the 1L and 2L tuition.  But does that offset the CoL differential?  I don't know.

But yeah, go with what you think's going to be best, man.  That said, I think you'd have a kick ass time at UVA.  And there's no bums, which is always a plus.  And we can play ultimate almost year-round.  Good luck ;)

Yeah.  I can't sell you on that point.  Ivy is no Domus.  No sir.  There is a pool though, and it is where an insane concentration of 1Ls will live.  Oh, and did I mention how hot our incoming class is?  Seriously.  Not a joke.  And I have high standards, as shocking as that probably is. ;)

EDIT:  I love how the arguments I'm giving you aren't things like "UVA's got great offerings in "such and such" interest area" or "We just hired this superstar prof".  But rather, things like "Dude, we'll party all the time and play ultimate" and "We have hot chicks".  But I know these sort of arguments appeal to you, hence we'd get along damn well ;)

2 pools. Don't forget about phase I, you jerk. But yeah, over half of 1Ls live in Ivy, so it's a non-stop party.

I would drag out the old "Philly sucks" argument, but you've heard it plenty before. If you went to BC, though, does that mean you're a Boston sports fan? If so, Philly sports is a gigantic downgrade. Philly expects to fail and is cynical/skeptical of any success. Whenever the Eagles do well, he city 100% expects something to go wrong. You don't want to be a part of that, do you? Something to think about. That city will swallow you whole and choke you with misery and despair.
