Chicago and Harvard are neck and neck right now but Yale still has the potential to throw a monkey wrench into things if they so desire.  And by the way, MTG has been good about not mentioning this, but the wind chill has us at about -20 degrees right now in Chitown.  Awesome.  Supposedly could get colder tomorrow.  That hasn't stopped those insane guys who ice fish on the harbor outside my window!  Unbelievable.

I didn't mention that because I didn't know that.  Holy *&^%.  I knew it was colder than I've ever seen it, but I didn't know it was THAT cold.

Oh well.  A good weekend for me to stay inside 24/7 and work on my moot court brief that is due on Friday.

Anyone try calling the office back today, who missed the call Friday?  I can't get through, but I want actual confirmation that I got in!

I did - called this morning and asked to speak to Michael Matchin (I think that was his name - left me the VM).  He said he was calling to give me an acceptance - woohoo!  8 down, 3 to go!  What a great way to start the week :)

Received Hold Letter from Chicago today - I feel lucky considering my LSAT is kind of low for them.

Show them your 'tar pic.  How can they not love pugs?  Also, btw, I think PugAttack is one of the best names I've seen on LSN, period.  I hope Chicago recognizes your awesomeness, best of luck.

prajna:  You are in some very good schools such as Penn and Columbia.  What makes Chicago your top pick over them by such a margin that you are stressing over this?  I am not being critical.  I am interested.

oh, mainly for the common reasons why chicago has a fairly loyal following: smaller class size, more academic focus, students actually loving the law instead of just seeing it as a stepping stone into biglaw, more options after graduation, good faculty...

it is freezing cold where i am now (weather.com says it feels like 1 degree) and i'm not liking it so that's going to be an issue with chicago. also the neighborhood. but then again, penn and columbia aren't exactly lovely from what i hear either.
