I'm in section 4! I've got Barkow, Steiker, Frug and Greiner. Any inside would be appreciated. Also, where do we find the evals that were mentioned above?

How big of a deal do you think grades really will be? I'm trying to choose right now,  and the grades thing is a critical factor. I have been told that pretty much everyone gets Bs at HLS, but I don't know what to think anymore.

Any feedback by 4 PST (my deadline!) would be appreciated.

Hey all! I was just wondering if any of you had any success getting Harvard to up their financial aid offer, in light of Stanford or Yale financial offers.

I'm freaking out right now, because I just got a massive aid package from Stanford (its $10,000 more than HLS).

In off the waitlist, that post about grades is REALLY wreaking havoc on me at the moment.

I just got in off the waitlist and I have a week to make a decision. No LOCI btw, so I was really surprised by the call.

OMG - this is throwing everything into chaos. I already signed a lease on an apartment in Boston with two really good friends, so the largest factor holding me back is the idea of screwing them over last minute. Ugh.

Where do you sign up for lockers? I tried searching the website, but I couldn't find any information. Thanks for the heads up by the way!

Yes!!! I had the TS1/2 this morning! i still cant get over it. I will DEFINITELY be attending.

Congrats Abby - see you next year!

For any 1Ls, how hard is it to find apartment housing for August? I've been searching through Craigslist and it seems like most leases begin September 1st - which is too late for orientation. Secondly,I want to move in early to get furniture, get to know the neighborhood etc.

Are August availabilities usually posted later or do they not exist? I'm worried. :(

Financial Aid question here: Did I read somewhere that HLS will reconsider an award if another school calculates your need differently?

The reason I ask is because I finally got my award letter back from Columbia and received a $30K (total) grant.  It doesn't mention anything about being need-based.  On the other hand, it doesn't sound like a scholarship, since it was in response to my financial aid application.

Should I bother asking HLS about this?

I'm fairly certain Columbia gives grants on a combined merit/need based criteria, so I doubt Harvard would reconsider your award. When I was talking to the financial aid office, it really seemed like they would only match or beat offers from Yale and Stanford (which are completely need based).

Personally, I didn't have much luck trying to leverage the Hamilton, but you should still try! It can't hurt.  :)

Ugh..I got Window 10.  >:(

I'm guessing Craigslist is my best bet now.
