Choosing the Right Law School / Re: Odd finding in USNews...
« on: April 01, 2006, 08:18:25 PM »
I went to school in Boston and am from central CT near Quinnipiac. I can't believe the it outranks Suffolk which is held in pretty high regard for a lower ranked school. Q is not held all that highly in CT with employers or anybody else for that matter. What the hell goes into these rankings besides lsat/gpa????

Beyond freaking out...1 rejection, 3 waitlists, 2 nothing yet...How long does it take some schools to give answers??? If you don't want me then just tell me allready so I can go to plan b (which doesn't exist yet).

I'm waitlisted at three schools and have two more to hear from. So it looks like retaking the LSAT and reapplying might be in the cards for me. I've allready started prepping for the June test.

Choosing the Right Law School / Barry?

Has anyone ever heard of Barry School of Law in Orlando before? I received an interesting advertisment from them in the mail today. It offered a 15k scholarship upon acceptance, if I apply. I'm sure everyone gets this as it seems like a 2bit operation. Any comments???

Suffolk is usally considered the better school execpt Boston is a very expensive city to live in (trust me I lived there for 5 years and $1100/month for a bad studio is not cool). I personnally like WNEC and have applied there myself (waiting to hear back). Springfield is a much more reasonable city and you can't beat 18k scholarship. I plan on living and working in the Hartford, CT area and WNEC is a great school to attend if you plan on working in central CT. If you plan on working in Boston you'll have a lot of competition form Northeastern, BU, BC, and Harvard. NESL won't be much competition. Best of luck.

Looks like I suck. Did a lot worse than expected on the Dec test. Any advice on where to apply? I was initially looking at Uconn, Quinnipiac, and WNEC. Quinnipiac and Uconn are def out. Any chance at WNEC or possibly New England School of Law or RWU? Thanks!
