Law School Admissions / 30% should I apply?
« on: July 17, 2006, 11:17:48 AM »
There are a number of schools that I have a 30% chance of applying to, do you guys think its worth it?  I figure there are about 6 schools that I have a 30% of getting into according to Chiasu.  Maybe I could get into one of those...anyone in the same situation as me?

I am not logged into the students board so I need to ask this question here.  Does anyone know if you can transfer from a law school after first semester?  Is this possible?  Just curious.

I will graduate this spring and enter law school fall of 2007.  If I re-take this fall will it be worth it?  Since I want to apply this fall will re-taking the LSAT matter and if I achieve a higher score will it be used in agreeance with the new ABA policy?

Law School Admissions / Law school harder to get into than before?

Two of my uncles went law school about 6-8 years ago.  Was getting into law school much easier then than it is now?  My chiasu stats show me a 90% at some schools in 2003 but only a 30% chance today?  Is this right?

Incoming 1Ls / Chiasu v. Actuality? How did you fair?

I have been paying a lot of attention to Chiasu lately.  I am curious as to how accurate it is.  For those that have recieved there acceptances and denials, how did you do?  I am wondering if I should bother applying to schools that are at the 30%?  What say you...

What PT programs would suit me best.  I have a horrible lsat 149 and gpa ok 3.7?  I live in Ca but do not mind moving...

I did horrible on the lsat 149 and I do not plan to retake considering I studied pretty hard.  I have a high gpa 3.7 from a mediocre institution.  Can I even get into any schools?  I hate that one 3 hour test could forever keep me obtaining a law plan if possible was to get into whatever law school and transfer to a school I have always wanted to go to.  What do you think of this?  Advice?  Is this possible, what schools would be best for me?  I do not plan on retaking lsat.

If I apply in October, will law schools ever need to see my senior year fall and spring semester grades?
