I fell into the trap of allowing the summer people at the firm to encourage me to take "useful" classes even if it hurt my GPA.  There are some crazy soft, easy A's out there. One prof taught 2 classes last semseter and gave 100% A's!  This semester he decided instead of having an exam, people got to go in and talk to him for a few minutes about a topic "at least somewhat" related to the course and he's giving them all A's as well. 

What school do you go to?  I thought every school had some type of grading requirements (e.g. an enforced median or mean).

Listening to others (even accidentally) = a bad idea.

Even the 4.0 student will always miss some issues and always get some things wrong on an essay exam...without exception.  I can't tell you how many times I've overheard others' post-mortems and began freaking out only to realize later that they were wrong.  Just relax and be glad that you're done with it.  It is what it is now and there's nothing you can do.  Also, whether it was easy or hard typically won't change grades that much because it's easy/hard for everyone.

Nobody hits all the issues, and if they do then they aren't covering them all in depth.  Ask any professor and even they won't get all of them when making their key - they have to add more once they find ones that students are pointing out.  I missed a rule against perpetuities issue in property and still did very well.  After my civ pro final, I talked to a friend who said he'd found the hidden Erie problem in the exam - after a month or two of worrying about it, grades came out and I did very well.  I talked to the professor and he said there wasn't an Erie problem.

Since no method of acceptance was given, any reasonable method will suffice (rest. §30 or UCC 2-206).  You might be able to argue both sides, but the acceptance via fax is almost certainly a reasonable method (particularly if the offeror gave his fax number).  Assuming this is not an acceptance of an option contract (i.e. a contract to keep an offer open for a period of time), the acceptance is effective upon dispatch (rest. §63 I think) so long as normal precautions are taken to ensure delivery (rest. §66).  You could argue both ways about whether the offeree took reasonable precautions - I'd say that sending it to the number given almost certainly is sufficient; however, you could argue that reasonable precautions for faxes require making sure that the fax went through since it's easy to tell on a fax machine.  If that argument succeeded, the acceptance wouldn't be valid and there would be no contract.  In the more likely event that the offeree did use reasonable precautions (at east in my mind it's more likely), the acceptance was valid upon dispatch and there is a valid contract.
