Imagine how things are now if you had chosen Loyola University New Orleans.  How do you like your school?

Sounds like you made the right choice.  I'll tell you a little story about myself which sort of got me thinking of the whole god issue.  I was all set to go to Loyola University New Orleans.  I mean I had my bags packed and everything.  About two weeks before we were going to move, I got a call on a Sunday morning from the dean of students here at the University of Arkansas asking me if Is till wanted to come here.  I said sure and the next day I was up here taking a tour of the school and I fell in love. And then Katrina.... Long story short, I think there is a plan for all of us what we are supposed to do and were we are supposed to be.  If it is meant for the OP to not have his BA and get his JD, I'm sure he'll do some great work for the world.

When can you return back to school?  If not for months, what are your plans?

This would be my second week of school (third if you count orientation), but my school is currently underwater and/or blown away. Thanks alot Katrina! On a positive note, my 1st research assignment for my Legal Research and Writing class which was due tommorrow is now not due tommorrow! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess there's a positive side to everything..... ;)

If you can get into UALR, you have a shot at University of Arkansas, which is the better school.  You should shoot for UA; it's not only a better law school, but it's also a better institution in general.

Is it true that one can get instate tuition after the 1st year at a public school such as Boalt, UCLA, etc?   What does one have to do to qualify for instate tuition the following year?

I think you have UALR nailed. Good school, and cheap.

Why UALR....why not go for the better (best) school in the state UA-Fay? The stats to get into both are very similiar.

Miami, Stetson, St. Louis are all long shots....the rest you might have a decent chance.

Law School Admissions / Re: cars in california

Does one need a car in cities such as San Francisco, Los Angelos, and San Diego???

Each lender has different terms for each school. You should check the finaid site for your school to see if they have any special deals with any lenders.

Accessgroup didn't charge me any fee.  The $740 fee was the estimated number the school assigned as my buget.

Law School Admissions / Re: What's the deal with Baff?

I think BAFF is still around and post under another name.

I used Access Group thru mu school and was charged $740.00 for $18,500.00.

Is Northstar for selected schools only?

Not all lenders charge a fee. Check your school's fin aid page for no-fee lenders.

Which lenders don't charge a fee?
