Acceptances / Re: NYU Acceptances Vigil

What's going on with this? Is that girl on LSN flame?

I don't think so... I just think the Dean emailed her because he knew her.  As far as I know, she has not received the "official" letter yet either.

I really don't think the dean of the law school would email her to let her know unless he knew her REALLY well.  I don't buy it. If the dean thought that she had heard, then letters would have gone out some time ago and people would have heard.

This was basically what I was getting at...

Where should I go next fall? / Re: UMichigan v. UVA

febclub: throughout February, the SBA sponsors a different party (kegger) every night with a different theme. Apparently, it's a pretty big deal.

FWIW, I've been accepted to UVa and am seriously considering it, regardless of where else I get in - though I am certainly nowhere close to making a final decision, since I've only really heard from two schools.

I would prefer UVa, but I didn't even apply to UMich. I'm pretty much over the fraternity scene, but the febclub deal sounds really cool at UVa, and from what I've heard, the students are VERY social and VERY happy.

I got in without a phonecall...at least I wasn't stressed for nearly two weeks.  ;)

I'm in too! Got the letter today (no mention of money tho). FWIW, I went decision 12/6. ;D

Congratulations Dirt McGirt!!! Looking at lawschoolnumbers.com last year, it seems both of us could have gotten money, so maybe we still will?

Thank you much! I *hope* we get money, but I'll definitely enjoy savoring this acceptance for awhile. I have always loved UVa, and it is certainly one of my top choices.
