Basically my question is whether or not a firm really does seek to have a "diverse" law firm in terms of law school representation.  So, for example, is it foolish to believe a law firm hiring rep if they say that they're seeking grads from x-school and interpret that to mean that they actually want people from that school because that school's grads are desirable, or is it more of a way to say "we couldn't get enough grads from y-school, so we'd be content to fill in the rest of our ranks with people from your school".  I hope that makes sense.

I mean, if a law firm could fill its ranks entirely with Harvard or Yale grads, would they really seek out SLS, Chicago, or CLS grads?  What would their incentive be?

Got mine today by phone call from Dean Trujillo.

He mentioned a scholarship as well.

Best of luck to everyone who's waiting!!

Saw an ad for it, seemed like it could help, or be incredibly useless.  Without knowing exactly how law students take notes it's impossible to tell.  Insights?

Seven Deadly Sins:

Seven Cardinal Virtues:

Keep in mind the punishments for committing each of the seven deadly sins are as follows:

Lust - smothered in fire and brimstone
Gluttony - forced to eat rats, toads, lizards and snakes
Greed - put in pots of boiling oil
Sloth - thrown in snake pits
Wrath - dismembered alive
Envy - placed in freezing water
Pride - broken on the wheel

Is there a consensus on how to report multiple LSAT scores on LSN accounts?  I've been listing my average as my primary LSAT score, but most (if not all) people I see here use their highest score as their primary score.  Also, when most people look at my LSN profile, they focus on the higher score and treat me as an applicant with that score only.

Choosing the Right Law School / Any SLS students out there?

If so, please share some information about your school.  The HLS people are doing a damn good job of arguing why their school is so good.  I'd like to hear some first-hand perspectives about SLS.

Choosing the Right Law School / Michigan Promotional CD-ROM
« on: November 28, 2006, 09:30:17 AM »
Has anyone else who has been accepted gone through the promotional CD-ROM included with the acceptance letter?  I went through the virtual tour of Michigan, and it was damn impressive.  I've never even stepped foot in the state of Michigan and I feel as if I would be able to navigate quite well through the Law Quadrangle.  It made me familiar with Michigan even though I've never visited.  Kudos to the admission department for making what I feel is the best law school promo I've ever seen from any law school (it was like playing a video game, which felt great for me since I used to be a huge video-game player but have had to stop in the last two years due to being abroad and having too many other demands on my time).
