Hmmmm...well now that is promising.  Would you mind if I ask for the GPA, CBGB?

I'm with Gameswizard, pointing out a perfect in one section just makes you look weak with the other two.

Hey Knoroozi,

I think a 169 and a 3.55 would still put you in pretty good competition for NW even if they didn't take the higher score.  Congrats!

Whatnow, I don't even know how you would fit an adverse reaction to clarithromycin before the LSAT into a personal statement. ;D

It probably depends alot on where your scores fall too.  A 90%+ score on the LSAT and low GPA probably would trump a 3.5+ GPA and a lower LSAT.  Although other factors like competitiveness of school, EC, Recs., and PS would come into play at that point.  I think that is where the LSAT would come in stronger as it is the only thing that is standardized between the two applicants.

Of course this is an unprofessional opinion based on little, worth just about 2 cents. :D

By the way WhatNow, thanks for taking the time to post the info on both threads.

And odaiko, your banana shaped man on a segway avatar is somewhat mesmerizing...

Hey Whatnow,

Yeah, I am kind of surprised as well.  Although your avg. LSAT is above both their 25% (no idea about the median).  Are you a VA resident, I thought they were suppose to give preference to in-staters, but GT wouldn't.  That would explain it.  Or maybe they just liked some of the other stuff in your applications.  Regardless, congrats on UVa!

I thought I give this thread a try for more bites...thanks again.

How true is it when a school says it will take the higher score?  Did any of you get into a school where your stats, LSAT avg. and GPA, would not have gotten you in if they didn't take the higher score?

I applied conservatively using only my avg. LSAT, this would just bolster my confidence in my reaches.

Thanks ahead of time.

hey odaiko,

I think they must of looked favorably at the higher score, although your GPA is pretty good too.  Congrats on NW and MN, both great schools and not bad safeties.  ;D

Hmmmm...perhaps better posted in the "where to go" or "accepted" threads?
