Studying for the LSAT / Is a 156 possible in this scenario?
« on: June 10, 2005, 08:14:27 AM »
I took the LSAT in Feb- choked (and I knew it) and got a 146. I took Kaplan- then retook the class for June-- I was scoring a 150-152 up until the actual test.. I just want a 156 because my law school of choice takes the higher score..

My initial impression of the June LSAT was it was "not so bad"-- my strongest suit is the RC, weakest LG, and the LR is a toss up..

Anyone out there score out side of their prep range-- I feel good about the outcome, but again, for me the LR is a total wild card. Just wanted to get a feel for everyones situations...

Yes I did and it absolutely helped me pace myself... I learned the hard way in February when I lost track of time and choked!! I would suggest a timer to anyone.

Studying for the LSAT / Any non-trads or career changers out there?
« on: June 10, 2005, 08:07:03 AM »
I feel like I am one of the oldest people on here (I am 30). Are there any other non-trads or people like myself out there? I left a career in advertising to pursue law (I graduated in 1997).. It seems like it's an uphill battle for me so far! Just curious to hear others experiences..

Yes, it is driving me nuts!- yet I am oddly addicted to this board now.... I feel somewhat out of place though because I only want a high 150's-160's score to go to ls- I am a 30 year old professional woman who is making a career change- I am not being too picky with my law schools at this point in my life. (Although I do not want to go to the Acme School of Law!!)

I took the LSAT in Feb and at Northwestern-- it was great as far as test space, but the proctors (or LSAT nazis as I will call them) made me so nervous I choked and got a 146. I took it again at John Marshall-- way opposite experience...

I hear Loyola is nice but the space is a bit more limited. If JMLS offers space in Oct. I would suggest them because I had tons of space, and the atmosphere was SO relaxed (possibly too relaxed- we'll see when I get my score!)

Good luck!
