Law School Applications / I am done...
« on: November 13, 2005, 10:08:45 PM »
Well, I think I just sent in my last app.  I am trying not to apply anywhere else unless I don't get accepted to any law school by Xmas.  Those fee waivers that I have been receiving are tempting tho'. Ahhh!  I must resist!

LSAC and LSDAS / What could this mean?
« on: October 15, 2005, 01:49:38 PM »
Usually when I login to lsac I have an alert saying that one or more reports haven't been sent etc., etc,. (cuz one of the schools I am applying to waits till everything is in and I am waiting on a couple LORs...still).  This time it said that there was no alerts and when I went ot my reports/letters page that school didn't have the "R11" tab indicating that my LORs were needed before the report is sent, but under my letters there was no indication that they received another one, yet.  Could it be that they are updating my account w/ a LoR? Do they even work on saturdays (maybe since june 2005 lsat scores were released then)? Anyone else have this come up?

Law School Applications / The Bostons

Anyone here applying to just BC or just BU and not both?  I was going to apply to both, but I am not sure I would like the environment of BU.  Therefore, I am thinking of just applying to just BC.  Initially, I was a bit weary of applying to BU, but figured if I got accepted, I would visit myself to determine if I would like it there.  However, with so many posts lately painting a gloomy picture of BU, I think that I will save my $$$ and not apply at all.

Anyone else just applying to one? Why?

Does anyone know if they are giving out fee waivers? What about minnesota? Do they send them out later in the process or not at all?  I have not heard of anyone receiving waivers from these schools this cycle.

LSAC and LSDAS / Worst part of process
« on: September 22, 2005, 02:43:04 PM »
Who else thinks that the LORs are the worst part of the process.  It is one of the things you cannot really control. I am slowly applying to schools b/c I know that they are not going to be complete until my LORs are in and processed by LSAT.  ARRG!!! Just venting.

Edit: Sorry, I just realized that this was the wrong area to post this.

Why isn't there a "child board" for this topic?  There are so many people wondering about them... who got them, their stats, when, and where that it would be more comprehensive to have one area devoted to them.  What do you think?

Law School Applications / when are you going to submit your apps?

Ok guys! I know we aren't all gunners and have sent them already.  So when are YOU gonna send them off?

If you haven't sent them off, what are you waiting for?

Recommendations / Time to Process
« on: September 13, 2005, 08:19:45 PM »
How long, on average, did it take LSAC to process your LORs?  I have two profs that are writing mine and are going to send them by the end of the week and I had an employer send one who should have sent it by the end of August (but LSAC does not show it as recieved).

Thanks!  ;D ;D ;D
