Waiting on ANYTHING from Tennessee, UNC, and UNLV. Im certain I will get a ding from UNC, expecting a waitlist from TN, and an acceptance/waitlist from UNLV. But, nothing yet.
Also was deferred from Florida State, Chicago Kent, and waitlisted at DePaul and Pitt. So I'm also waiting for them.

Thanks for the advice. The major factor for me right now is money...if I had a full ride, I would go in a heartbeat...but unfortunately I don't have the numbers to get a full ride anywhere.
It does have a good rep as being a good law school, and I am not necessarily interested in Biglaw. The diversity factor isn't a huge deal for me; I come from a very diverse area and I don't see it is an advantage or a disadvantage. Likewise, the religious aspect doesn't bother me either...I am middle of the road with my political views and am a practicing Catholic. I have no feelings about Ken Starr.
So...basically, it's probably a matter of what my other options end up being, money, and if I want to practice in the L.A. area? Something to think about a little more.
P.S. Go to Duke...I would kill to go there and N.C. rocks.

MrSmittie, are you in state?

Pros: Malibu, ADR program nationally ranked, housing like a beach resort, laid back atmosphere, congenial faculty
Cons: Expensive, Ken Starr, "religiously conservative"
Does anyone on here actually GO to Pepperdine?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I don't have many options, so don't tell me that USC or UCLA is better, I know; Pepperdine is the only Cali school I applied!

I filled out my FAFSA, and I dont need to do the needbased thing. Do I wait until I am accepted to fill out the individual schools' forms or do I do them now? I haven't received anything about financial aid from any school I've applied/been accepted to.

I have family in NC and I would do anything to get into Wake/UNC/Duke. I thought I would have the best chance at UNC (if any at all, I'm a realist and know the odds are against me.) Don't give up hope though, you have a few good acceptances on your side and in state will help you there!

"I guess that'd make Cooley Phi Mu, at least at my school. And Yale could be Tri Delt."
LMAO...yes, same at my school. Phi Mu would be Cooley, or People's School of Law. Delta Phi Epsilon would be Harvard.

OP, What are your numbers?

There you go, Rythmbomb.
The library was well lit and pretty spacious, but nothing like Harvard's or anywhere comparable to that which has cathedral ceilings and a vast collection of volumes. To be honest, it could be bigger and sort of reminded me of my high school library ( I did go to a big high school though. ) I was one floor of volumes, and then a small research center on the first floor. Remember though, you won't be in that building at all...so even though all the volumes are going to the new location, lighting/space might be different.

Oh, well, that wasn't very nice.
I hope your loans DO come through but that you'll stay out of Michigan; we already have an excess of rude people.
