A guy from Japan recently invented a jacket for bikers which has an airbag in it. Basically how it works is you sit on your bike and plug in a small wire into your bike. If there is an accident and the wire breaks (which will if you fall) the jacket itself becomes the airbag so if you fall on the highway you actually fall on a ball filled with air. Its a pretty cool concept however wont work if a 18 wheeler is right behind your a**. Must say Japanese are smart...

I'm not a big fan of choppers. I know quite a few folks who were experienced riders who have been hurt on them. They're nice to look at, though.

I wish I were bigger, but at least I won't be tempted to spend my life savings on a Ducati Monster.  :-\
Yea well if you ride in Houston you will almost get hit every day.  I canít even count the amount of times I have almost been run over by busses.  But they are amazing.  If I had a crotch rocket I would probably kill myself.

I'm out in the boonies, so I've got plenty of space. Maneuvability of sport bikes isn't that great in stop and go traffic, though.  :-\

Sheer pleasure thats why i love sportbikes. Cant get that rush on a harley. But again thats just me.  :)

I somehow feel that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict exists because politicians around the world want it to exist! This conflict serves many purposes. I think we all are naive when we argue against each other when in reality our governments dont give a @#! about the conflict. Because the day they feel its against their nation's interest they will all be at the negotiating table. Look at what happened after the US dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. The so called "World War" came to an end within days.

GO TO THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN THREAD.  LET'S CARRY THE DEBATE THERE

Its interesting how everything that goes on in the Mideast is so interconnected. Sorry for hijacking the thread.  ;)

Well, there are people poorer than the Palestinians that don't resort to suicide bombings and attacking civilians...how do they manage?

Israel is not the only victim of this muslim-extremist method of attack.

They are not fighting one of the most advanced military in temrs of anti-terrorist tactics. Also you need to be careful when you say "muslim-extremist method of attack". A muslim never kills an innocent person...if he does he is not a muslim. You need to go over this thread from the beginning. People have already resolved this.

It's 1:30 am here, don't ask me to do that!   :) :)

"They are not fighting one of the most advanced military in temrs of anti-terrorist tactics."

I simply refuse to believe they have no other option in expressing their views. And like I said, there are people living way below the poverty line in this world that simply don't resort to these types of killings.

The groups that use those tactics simply provoke israeli reaction which makes their situation worse. This worsens the hate against israle which causes more suicide bombings...etc...it's a vicious cycle, and there won't be peace unless the past can be overlooked and the future put at the center. However, i believe it is contradictory to both condemn and then justify suicide bombings. Either the suicide bombings are wrong...or the palestinians are using the "only" means they can.

So why are US troops flown to Israel to learn anti-terror tactics? BTW i absolutely agree with you that its a vicious circle and until people realise that its a vicious circle because of both sides nothing will be achieved. Also how else do you expect Palestininas can have their voice heard - when they have no viable political system, they live in constant fear, they face a nation thats much more capable in every respect, there is the world community which in most cases backs Israel (again because of the US)? Its easy to say thats its not the only means...live there for a few months and you will know what i am talking about.
