Studying for the LSAT / RC Time Constraints
« on: July 06, 2005, 11:08:46 AM »
I am currently working on the RC section of the LSAT. I was wondering how much time should be spent on reading the passages so as to be left with ample amount of time to answer the 26 or 27 questions.

Is 3 minutes for each passage too much?

Studying for the LSAT / What the hell is wrong with me ???
« on: June 29, 2005, 04:00:42 PM »
I have been practicing the LR section for a month now and have able to reduce the # of wrongs from 16 per section to 8. Now when i do a LR section, i get only 1-2 wrong on the first 15 questions. Then i mess up on the rest of the 10 or 11 questions and keep getting 6-7 wrong.

I am so frustrated that i am able to ace the first half of the section but the other half just kills my hopes of getting just 3-4 wrong on each section.

I haven't taken any course yet and have not gone over the bibles.

Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with me and does anyone else over here face the same problem as me  ??? Do my logical reasoning abilities suck  ???

Studying for the LSAT / Prep Test #27 Dec. 98 LR Question

What is the right answer and why  ???

Art Historian: Robbins cannot pass judgement on Stuart's art. While Robbins understands the art of Stuart too well to dismiss it, she does not understand it well enough to praise it.

The art historian's argument depends on the assumption that

(A) in order to pass judgement on Stuart's art, Robbins must be able either to dismiss it or to praise it

(B) if art can be understood well, it should be either dismissed or praised

(C) in order to understand Stuart's art, Robbins must be able to pass judgement on it

(D) Stuart's art can neither be praised nor dismissed

(E) if Robbins understands art well, she will praise it

I am planning to take the Oct LSAT. Howevever i am not sure as to which prep course i should take. Should i take the one that finishes one month before the exam or should take the one that finishes on sept. 28th. Which one did you guys take and which do you think is more effective.

Also TM has weird class timings here in NYC (6PM-10PM) and my commute to the city is like 1.5 hours. So i am leaning to towards Powerscore....is that ok ??? ???

Thanks for your advice.
