I am posting this article because it was really interesting and am not trying to use it to bash bush or anything. I feel sorry for the people in New Orleans and any area hit by the hurricane and they will be in my prayers. However, i felt that this information should be out there.

Where should I go next fall? / BREAKING NEWS!!! COOLEY AT IT AGAIN!
« on: July 30, 2005, 05:25:49 PM »
I was surfing the web for lowest bar passage rate and came across the 2005 Law School Rankings from Cooley. Earlier in the month I posted the 2004 rankings.
http://www.cooley.edu/rankings/overall2005.htm

They have made a huge jump in the rankings as some have fallen even further. The biggest drop is Boston College from 19 to 32.

Seriously, if you are going to lie just make it worth the embarrassment and rank yourself as #1 above HYS and not just 24th barely edging out Stanford.

Law School Applications / LSAT Score Addendum
« on: July 14, 2005, 10:54:15 PM »
I was reading Anne Ivey's book on admissions and she mentioned that some ppl have written addenda for their LSAT score especially if they are not good at standardized tests. Orginally, I got a 1000 on my SAT's but have a 3.75+ gpa at from the University of Arizona and a private institution here in California. So, I was thinking of sending my SAT scores with an addendum saying pretty much "the LSAT does not measure my academic ability." How much do you guys think this will help? Or does it sound like i am bitching?
By the way:
156 LSAT and URM (Mexican-American, 1st generation)

Law School Applications / Deadlines
« on: July 06, 2005, 06:26:31 PM »
Ok, this may be a stupid question but I have begun to make my list of law school application deadlines. However, how do i find out when is the earliest i can send it in? Some, schools do have it such as George Washington University but others do not. Does this mean i have to call or take it as default that the first of November is the earlist i can send it?

Law School Applications / 156/3.8 have a couple questions.
« on: June 26, 2005, 06:49:42 PM »
Well, I recently got a 156 on the June test hoping for a 160+ but the RC section killed me and getting only 10 right out of 27 did not help. Nonetheless, I was thinking about taking it again because I was averaging 160-163 but am hesitant because of the hell i had to endure to prep. As a result, I was wondering if any one can give me some info on my probability for these schools.
Univ. of Arizona
Arizona State Univ.
Univ. of San Diego

I have a 3.8 GPA in International Relations and a minor in Legal Studies
As noted earlier, i got a 156 on the LSAT.
First generation Mexican-American (lived abroad in Mexico for four years)

And one hell of a life story that will be my personal statement to sum it up:
My father passed away leaving me in charge of my mother, sister, and little nephew.

P.S. please do not post anything anti-AA or racial on this thread.
