When I go in a few weeks to look at apartments, I'm sticking to 1BR's, studios, and carriage houses. I've lived with 3 roommates for the past 3 years at undergrad, and I can take it no more. Those were friends, too. So I can't imagine dealing with roommate drama (i.e. kitchen mess, bills, etc...) with a complete stranger. With everything I know about the first year experience, it sounds like you'll want to come home to your own place where you deal with your own mess. But I have also heard that if you get a 1BR, try to get one in a complex with lots of other law students so you still have some networking and contact close by.

I'm going to Birmingham to sign my life away on loans and find an apartment in a few weeks. If any current students have any suggestions on where to live, that'd be fantastic.

Im already having virus problems..i had the trial mcaffe, but i switched to norton when that ran out.  i bought an external floppy drive a few days ago at best buy for $59---welllll i hope that random info helped somebody. i just felt like posting

David you are not alone! I have the same sched., except Kleinberg for LLR.
Guess they stuck all of the Floridians in one section. 
Fantastic! Where in Florida are you from? Dax, I think I can speak for everyone that the pre-orientation party should still be a go. Thanks for being so generous with your new pad! Good thing you're a little far from my place, else we might blow off too much work and play guitar instead.

Also, you can get real detailed info (eventually, I suppose) on each class if you go to student resources. I checked the rosters, and not one person I've met online so far is in my section. But I guess it'll be nice to have a social network that can relate, but is outside the drudgery. Plus, we can give different perspectives on the same material.

My last name starts with a "W"---I know that they divide you into 2 groups of 60 somehow--do you think its alphabetical?
Probably not since my last name starts with an 'S', and I have Boliek for LR Ross for CivPro Goodwin for Crim Bishop for Ks Evans for Torts By the way, we'll always be able to remember when ol' Sandy left the bench! We'll start law school with a different Court (well, not right away).

Yeah now we get to hear about Sexton's. 
No. No matter what happens I am thankful to be rid of Rix. No QB is better than Rix at QB. We started this chant in the stands at the end of the Gator Bowl "No More Chris Rix." All these old fans around us were giving us dirty looks. But it caught on throughout our whole side of the stadium. It was great!
Well, you wouldn't have caught me chanting that at a game. I'm not a hater. But it was so annoying hearing all the dopey things he did on the field and off. Although, my constantly worn FSU ballcap did get thrown down several bleachers at Doak on several occasions. I shouldn't be hearing any complaints from you anyway! You had to have been there for the national championship! 4 years I had with Rix. 4 years, I say!

The worst thing about all this is that it will be all anyone is talking about when the season starts. We are going to get SO SICK of hearing about Sexton and his brush with the law or whatever. I just wanna watch football DAMN IT!
Got that right. Anything is better than having to hear about Rix's most recent stupid move though.
