General Board / Re: reasearch and writing grade...« on: October 25, 2005, 08:16:26 PM »
My LWR is graded, and it seems that grades are directly related to how much time ppl. put into. the competition is rough, and so is trying to balance this class w/ my substantive classes, at the same time as competing w/ someone who spent 60 hours on the memo while ignoring all over classes.

I'm in for my regular all day study sesh. I take a break for the gym, and mix it up by studying in the library, coffee shop, or my apt to trick myself from believing it hasn't been that long. You know its bad when you look forward to checking on your laundry.

General Board / Re: I have the best spring schedule...« on: October 09, 2005, 11:31:42 PM »I like my schedule (save Thursday). It is much nicer than what I had in the Fall If I had 2 semesters of property I might shoot myself. (FYI I spent the last 5 hours outlining and trying to make sense of this stuff. My prof, casebook, & CO contradict each other on every point) 65
General Board / Re: Considering dropping out.. any advice?« on: October 08, 2005, 04:30:07 PM »
Is there a school administrator or counselor you can speak with about this? I would agree that you should complete the semester, and possibly consider a deferment. I took some time off before law school, and it gave me a perspective and appreciation for school. I think we all go through times when we want to quit at some point during the semester. I can relate b/c my mom was diagnosed w/ cancer last week. It has been really hard for me to focus on school, and be far away from home while she is undergoing treatment. At the same time, they caught it early and it is not expected to be life threatening so at my mom's encouragement I am trudging ahead. I have confided in my LWR teacher and other students, and everyone is very supportive. I also intend to see one of the school counselors next week.

Studying and Exam Taking / Sum & Substance CDs« on: October 03, 2005, 08:28:56 PM »
Has anyone used these? I have heard they are good, but are they worth $70? To clarify, I already have COs and E&Es for each class. I am interested in a way to make my time at the gym and walks to school more productive.

It is most attributed to the Hohfeldian theory, which my professor speaks of constantly in order to show prop. rights are not absolute, dependent on relationships, ect.

General Board / Re: How are you taking notes?« on: September 29, 2005, 09:25:59 PM »I too LOVE OneNote. I had to type a outline in Word for a class, and was quickly reminded of how much I hate their autoformatting. I tried to autocorrect, but when I open the autocorrect box it will not let me paste the symbol sign, and it will not let me insert the symbol. I cannot get the section symbol into the autocorrect box. How did you do it? 69
