You absolutely need to get serious from here on out. It's really not the end of the world, my first semester I had a 2.84, but was able to pull it up to a 3.16 cumulative after second semester. I ended up just missing a 3.6.
If you get your stuff together, and get your cumulative to about a 3.3 or better, you'll be fine. You likely won't be going to Yale right after undergrad, but with a decent lsat score and all the other stuff that goes into your app, you'll do very well when you choose to apply. Just get your darn together, study hard and put in the effort you need to do well, and figure out how to manage your time so you can have some fun as well.
I wish my first semester g.p.a was a 2.84!!!! I had a friggin pathetic and embarrassingly low first semester g.p.a of 0.25. I had one F, a "D," a "P grade," and a No credit. I ended up with a 3.36 LSDAS g.p.a and a 179 LSAT. My college g.p.a is a 3.399. I am plannaing on writing an addendum addressing every weak part of my app, which I have overcame. Anybody have any suggestiosn or comments?
What was your gpa besides your first semester?
I believe it was a 3.35 or so. I could be wrong though. I am extremely tired and a little drunk. In any case though, how screwed am I because of my first semester?
oh yes you seem to be drunk here...I asked what your GPA was not including your first semester...you said your overall is 3.36...I don't think after a .25 getting a 3.35 will raise it to a 3.36
Get back to me in the morning...
