Don't worry here as long as you know you are ready to put in some solid studying to get the GPA up....average a 3.5 from here on out and you'll be around a 3.0 over even higher and you'll be in the game.

I'm sure there are members to this board who have seen the movie Legally Blonde...well, I've seen it once and if I remember correctly, doesn't Reese Witherspoon study literally for about one week or so for the LSAT and then ace it?  Granted, she hired a private tutor and worked to the max on those days, but has anyone heard of anything like this ever happening?  When I think about this movie, I wonder if we are all studying too much for the LSAT and maybe an intensive 1-3 week study session would work?

Studying for the LSAT / Practice Tests- Your Thoughts?
« on: June 23, 2005, 12:59:18 AM »
Practice LSAT exams:
Questions:
1.Should you or did you outright take a practice exam before you did any studying to see where you stand and how much you need to improve?  Or should you study for a while and then take your first practice exam?
2. How many practice exams did you take or should you take before you think you can be ready?

I know it may be different from person to person and that's why I'm curious about this....Also, I know for question #2 someone might respond and say take as many as you think you need, but on average, what would be a fair amount of practice exams to take? 10?

Studying for the LSAT / Re: people studying at the testing site...

i wouldn't recommend full length sections! just enough to get your head into the game.

Good advice here...I know for me personally no matter how well I know the material on the day of a test, I need to study at least a few bits from the material to 'get your head in the game'.  Otherwise, like I said, no matter how well I know the material, it probably won't be as fresh in my head as it could be.

studying at the testing site....it makes sense to me...I like the comparison that if you are about to play a basketball game, wouldn't it be nice to practice and shoot the ball a few times before playing in the actual game?

but then you get tired and hate the game and want to give up sooner.

hmmm I see your point here...but the comparison I used was shooting/dribbling a basketball before the actual game so you are prepped and ready to go.  Hopefully shooting at a marginal pace won't be enough to make you tired for the actual game because you have conditioned enough and long enough to be able to last the duration of the actual game...a little refresher or reminder of what one is to expect on the LSAT test the day of the test should not hopefully make someone tired during the test...but that is if they prepped for months in advance and assuming they aren't trying to cram in some last minute test taking strategies...

« on: May 17, 2005, 01:30:07 PM »
For everyone out there: What are you doing for the summer?  Are you going to be most likely waiting for law school applications or have you not applied yet and are waiting to do so?  In other words, what is your situation for the summer?  Studying for the LSAT?
