Yeah the only thing that bothered me was the whole crime issue. The management problem isn't really that disturbing. But I called a couple of apartment locators this morning and they pretty much confirmed what the message board says. They said that place is particularly bad mainly because it is so close to 59, and it's easy for people to get in and get out so it gets hit harder than other places. I'm seriously thinking about looking elsewhere because I haven't signed a lease yet.
I'm kinda scared now after looking at that apartment ratings website. Basically everyone on there has a bad opinion of Providence Uptown. Has anyone who lives or has lived in Houston looked at the place they lived on this site, and if so,are the opinions posted pretty accurate from your experiences?
I've talked to several people who live near the Galleria (several at Providence) who commute to UH and it was the consensus that the longest it takes them is 20-25 minutes. I hope this is true or else I'm screwed for the early morning classes.
What apartments, if you don't mind me being nosey? I live in Houston now; maybe I know of your places and/or know someone that lives there who could give you a good reccomendation.Providence Uptown over off of Richmond near the Galeria. I'm sure everything is ok, but they told me I'd hear back in about a week and it's only been a couple of days so far.
I'll be attending UH in the fall. I'm moving from the big metropolis of College Station after I graduate in ONE week....woohoo
Well my name is Casey and I'm originally from the Beaumont area. I'm 23 and will be entering the full time program. I will graduate in one week from Texas A&M with a degree in Accounting. I'm really looking forward to just taking it as easy as possible this summer, although I am cautiously excited about the fall.
