Isn't it kind of a problem for a fair curve that section ABCD has weaker students on average (due to having all the EDers)? Sure, everyone gets mixed together later, but everything rests on your IL grades (and that only dilutes the advantage, not eliminates)..

I thought of another questions (mostly for the past summer starters, but for everyone if it is the same).

What happens at orientation? Is it two full days (for the summer-starters, at least)?

You get told a lot of useless stuff. Well, the financial aid stuff was pretty helpful, but everything else not so much so. There was a service day component even for us summer starters, that was fun, and a few bbq later that day.
