Along with the Hogwart's charm, which section is best and the one I should hope to be sorted into?
ABCD (Summer Start)- A mixed bag. (If there's any distinction to be made, I'd say that ABCD has the highest ratio of odd-balls. And a few genuine crazies. A very few unpleasant/arrogant types. Also a handful of brilliant minds, and a smattering of very amiable characters. Summer Start is like a miniature Hogwarts all it's own.)
This breakdown also seems appropriate given that EFGH and MNOP seem to be the most "visible" sections, and have the strongest inter-section rivalry.
I feel like I should take some offense at this.
Me too! Esp since we already established the CORRECT houses 9 months ago (maybe even in this thread??).
Anyway, EF had no gunners this year. And GH really only had 2 bad ones. And one of them is a nice person anyway. The two halves only had one class together first semester, so it was a weird dynamic, where we got super close to 40 people and hardly knew the other half of our section.
So, what were the "CORRECT" houses? You, being the consummate Ravenclaw, ought to remember, right?
Yeah, but it will piss Gengis off. And actually, it's not that far from yours except for that part.
ABCD: Slytherin (OK, I'm sorry, I love certain summer starters and like plenty of others, but I've been rubbed the wrong way too many times by the snobbery and air of superiority of many. "What are all these new people doing in our school?" "We're not even a part of your class.")
See, I just had compunction about calling any one section Slytherin. If I were really honest about it, I kind of agree with your disposition. I don't feel like there's any truly evil section at Mich, people are just too decent.
So I thought of Slytherin less in the "evil" way and more in the "ambitious and calculating" way.
If it makes fou feel any better, I think our year's Summer Start was evil mostly by fluke. Then again, The Sorting Hat (Dean Zearfoss) is pretty awesome.
But remember, " It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are..."
It is news to me that we were evil.
